I recently attended jazz great Brian Culbertson's concert at the Lyman Center in New Haven, CT. Great show, lots of energy and funk at its finest. Shot this session with an A7rii in manual mode (auto ISO though) and used the new Sony 70-200 f2.8 G Master lens. Saw some other videos of this lens and they appear to focus rather quickly. Mine doesn't and makes bunches of noise. Made this sample video before I return it. Focuses within allowable limits when set to VIDEO but set it for PHOTOS and you wait for the see-sawing action to stop before it locks on. This test done from a tripod to a static poster. The thing would be useless out in the field as it's pretty much useless right now indoors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbDJib7MvkE

New toy arrived this morning! I'll be doing some real world tests for my own satisfaction mainly over the next few days...but thought I'd start with a size comparison including the Canon 2.8 mkii on it's metabones adapter Let the (unscientific) testing begin! Jon www.jonroberts.co.uk

I was wondering if there are any users with Samyang 14 2.8 AF who could share their opinions. I plan to use it with A7 II and A7r for wedding photography so im interested in 2.8 performance. I found some tests but most photos were taken at f7 to f11 and it was architecture. Thanks for any help.

My first post on the forum. Thought I start off with something less standard: the nFD 14/2.8L. DSCF6830 by Jeroen, on Flickr DSC03690 by Jeroen, on Flickr DSC03525-Edit by Jeroen, on Flickr DSC03459-2 by Jeroen, on Flickr
