Sometimes still slow startup [A6000]

Hi everyone,

 

Sometimes I find that the startup time for A6000 still slow even though previously already had the firmware update for this issue. Do you guys experience this?.

Yes, same for me.  Oddly I seem to recall that after I installed the update, it was very fast, but now it actually seems slower than ever.  I see the display turn on, then off, then on again before the camera is ready.   Very disappointing.

Yeah I do encounter that too. And sometimes I power off it takes a while for it to do that.

This is because once a month or twice a month the camera auto maps hot/dead pixels by taking 1 second photo with it's shutter closed. If you haven't used your camera in a while it does the same process. I'm pretty sure that if you listened carrefully you could hear the shutter closing after 1 second. This is absolutely normal.

I noticed a slow startup with one of my lenses, I found I was missing the 2.0 firmware update for that particular lens.
