Copying sd cards within the camera

I have tried doing this, but with limited success, within my A9.

A few (say 20 or so) images copy successfully slot 1 to slot 2, but above about 150 images it fails.

When trying to copy a second small batch from 1 to 2, the first batch is erased from sd 2.

This seems a poor performance, when it could be a very useful backup system.

It needs to be robust enough for a large number of images (ie RAW files from a full 64GB card)

and it needs to be able to accept additional batches without erasing earlier images successfully copied.

A bit crap at present, Sony. Please can you sort this out?

Any comments from fellow A9 users very welcome.

The camera can write to both cards during capture.  That is your backup.  Carry a bunch of empty SD cards and shoot away.   Editing and copying files as you describe is not a good way to backup your files.

Although I've never tried this myself, the user guide lists copying files between cards as one of the a9's features.
