loosing my zoom spot?

hey guys,

I'm shooting video on a tripod with my a6500 with the sony 18-105 lens. I will get the zoom where I want, then if I happen to not touch the camera for a few seconds, the screen turns off, when I turn it back on, I have lost where my zoom is... how can I fix this? Thank you.

Remove the battery. 

Turn 3 times around clockwise under a full moon and spit on dollar. 

Replace the battery.

Check the Power Save Start Time. This is how long to wait before the camera powers down to save the battery. If you are working on video then perhaps set this to a very high value.

Plus I think as a power zoom the 18-105 resets to zero when it's powered down....
