Best aspect ratio for ipad display?

Hi All - 

I'm an excited new owner of a A7Riv and am new to the forum so I apologize if this has been addressed before.

I usually end of displaying my photos on my ipad pro with it's 4:3 aspect ratio. 

Would I be better shooting in 4:3 to begin with (and losing some pixels) or shooting in 3:2 and letting the ipad adjust the display?

Bob,

3rd generation iPad Pros have a resolution of 2388 × 1668 pixel (11″) and 2732 × 2048 (12,9″), respectively.

That's considerably less than that of a Sony a7r iv at 9504 x 6336 pixel.

Personally, I'd use the full native resolution of the camera's sensor, and scale/crop at the latest possible moment, depending on the intended use.

If this is going to be your only usage, then why did you pick a camera with such huge resolution to begin with?
