Hi All - I'm an excited new owner of a A7Riv and am new to the forum so I apologize if this has been addressed before. I usually end of displaying my photos on my ipad pro with it's 4:3 aspect ratio. Would I be better shooting in 4:3 to begin with (and losing some pixels) or shooting in 3:2 and letting the ipad adjust the display? Thanks!

custom aspect ratios...would be an amazing thing. Every job is different and every layout is different... seems that with an electronic viewfinder we should be able to have this... lets start the conversation...

why can't sony allow me to make custom aspect ratios for the electronic viewfinder? Every job I do is different with different final size cropping...and i just have to shoot wide enough to cover myself in case they want it square or 9x12 or 8 1/2 by 11....or whatever...seems so easy and would make shooting so much easier. are they assuming that the only people using 4000$ cameras are amateurs that only need 4x6 crops? if anyone agrees with me lets get them to do this...seems like a firmware update could accomplish this...i mean at least 3x4 or 8x10 options...
