A7 ll Firmware Update 4.0

Has anyone experienced any downside after updating an A7 ll to version 4.0?

Just wondering.  I have yet to update mine.  Thanks

My a6000 became a brick after an attempted firmware update with my Mac.  After various trials of repeating the procedure I finally switched to using a PC for the update, and it brought the camera back to life.  It has made me very cautious about performing firmware updates.  I have not had the courage to update my a7rII.

I updated my a7II with my Macbook Pro with no problems.

I noticed that once I updated to firmware 4.0, my Nissin Air 1 commander and Air R trigger no longer fires in HSS in TTL and fires incorrectly in manual mode.  I have put in an email to sony support.  I doubt they will do anything since it's a third party trigger system.  This saddens me .

I use my Air-1 and Nissin Flashes with my A7ii for work and it would really be a bummer if the 4.0 update gives me any problems. I'm kind of afraid to update from 3.3.
