Problem doing firmware update on a7r

I am trying to do a firmware update on ILCE7Rm2 using Update_ILCE7RM2V320.dmg. 

 

I double click Update_ILCE7RM2V320.dmg, and instead of getting a Software Updater icon, I get "How do you want to open this file?", and nowhere can I find the required opening software. 

 

I successfully upgraded to v1.0 using the instructions.

Are you on a Mac? If so, the DMG should just open right away.

 

A DMG is a disk image (or a compressed folder), and the operating system should open it and "reveal" its content without a trouble. If you're on a Mac and you get this kind of error, either your system has some problem (try running a permission repair and check the disk; if this doesn't work download a software like Onyx and rebuild the LaunchService database), or the DMG image is corrupt (but in this case you generally get a different kind of error message).

 

If you're on Windows, instead, you simply downloaded the wrong firmware update file. My guess you should search for the one with either an .exe or a .zip extension.
