Data Error File message

Hi, all. I am new to the forum and the sony system. I just bought the A6000 and I loaded the camera with 2 different SD cards and every time I shoot, the error message say Data Error File...I have been using these SD cards since and tried it even with the other camera body and it is working?

 

I need help.

I suppose you already tried formatting them in camera? If not give it a go, this should solve it.

 

Should this not resolve the problem, then try some other card from another manufacturer (even a borrowed one). If it still won't work then I suggest you to send the camera for repair.

Reformatting is a good idea, but I don't know if you are aware of this - often if you stick your SD card into a computer and even if it's the most simple edit, like changing the orientation of a picture so you can look at it better in your file browser, you will get an error message if you subsequently try to view that file in camera.  Just transferring the data to your computer from your card won't do it though.  I'm not sure if you are having problems taking pictures with the card or just viewing the pictures you have taken which is the reason I've made my comment.
