A7Rii Auto-focus issues

I have been playing with my new camera with adapter using Canon glass and without using a Sony 55mm Zeiss. I seem to be getting soft focus in the background on the left side of the frame no matter what lens or adapter I use. Is it me or the camera?

Is it only happening with the adapted Canon glass, or also with the native 55?   If it's happening across the board, that sounds like an issue with the camera - like the sensor is not in perfect alignment.  If it's only with the adapter, I'd point the finger at that.

I have the same issue but only to a minor degree on the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 ii (though on the right side) and it is the same on different A7 cameras with different adaptors so I figured it must be the lens and I never noticed while on the Canon 5d 3 as the resolution wasn't high enough for it to be noticeable!
