Hello guys, I got the a6400 recently and I have been struggling with the video. whenever I film myself my face is mirrored like I'm shooting on iPhone front camera. Please HELP. how can I shoot this with this normally

I'd lay odds it's not the camera.

You are used to seeing your face reflected and so mirrored. Using a camera you get to see what everyone else sees, it's your expectations that are mirrored..

Quite. That would be an ordinary camera taking ordinary pictures. You might notice that other pictures do not have stuff reversed right to left.

What I can't understand is why selfie (phone rear) cameras take mirror images.  Whoever started that? it is a nonsense!

This is absolutely the camera.

I don't think everyone is understanding what is being said.

When we video ourselves we should not be seeing the printing on our shirts backwards normally.  But a cellphone doesn't work the same as a front facing camera when it's in selfie mode.  Selfie mode is always backward.

However, the best way to check it out is to hold up something printed.  If you can read it in the video (DSLR) correctly you're good.  It will still appear to you that your left hand is your right.  But that's the way it is when you shake hands with someone. Facing someone, their right hand is on the opposite side as yours.
