alpha6400: When I turn it on, language menu always appears

I 've never had this problem before.

When I turn the camera on, the language menu  appears.

I  cannot quit this menu, so  I  pick English

Then I  have to set the full date again.

At this point I  am able to hit menu to exit.

Are you keeping charged batteries in the camera? It's possible the internal battery that remembers that kind of stuff is going bad. You could also try a full reset.

I  cannot  access the reset menu.

I did a reset and initialize.

The problem is still here. 

When I turn the camera ON, I  get the language selection menu

- I select  English and cannot  exit  or cancel.

- I  get date/time 

I am able to  select  cancel and 'menu' to exit.

I am able to  take pictures but the date is 'Jan 1st...'

Once again, I cannot access the reset/initialize menu.

Sounds like a call to Sony or the repair shop is in order.

I think you were right before. The internal battery is either very flat or has failed.
