using Sony Alpha camera from kayak: how not to get it wet?

ok so probably the answer is "don't drop it in the water" but I'm wondering if someone has a clever solution for this. I'm going on a kayak trip and would like to bring a decent camera to get photos of the wildlife. But, not at the expense of ruining my a6000. Is there any accessory/method that would reduce the risk of damage from splashes and such?

There are affordable underwater cases for the A6000, one by Meike for instance. That should sort you out even if it (or you) goes in the water.

Several of the manufacturers make waterproof little cameras.  I would be a lot more comfortable taking something like that on the kayak trip than my a6000.  One less thing to worry about.  If it gets wet, no problem.
