Blurry Edges on Video

Recommended Posts

Hey friends, I am completely clueless. I've been doing videography for about 3 years and never run into this before. I was filming a campfire session at a Bible Camp that I work at and all the edges of the videos are blurred- almost like radial blur. The camera blur everything other than the touch focus point, even if it was on the same plane. Do you know what the problem could be? Sony a7iii with a sigma 28-70mm 2.8. Shot at 60 fps and 1/125 shutter.

I can't upload the videos because the files are too large. I just grabbed a photo. I am also noticing it is not in focus properly either.

Seems to me like an incredibly decentered lens, with a tilted plane of focus. On the left, you can see the tree behind the building in the background is in focus while in the center the girls with folded hands and short pants is in focus. On the right, the women with the red shirt in the foreground is close to being in focus. Has this lens always caused this problem? Has it been dropped? Did you try changing lenses?
