  1. Hey Guys, i made a vid at the Millenium Series Paintball event in Bitburg Germany. Filmed with sony Alpha 7 II except the obvius action cam footage. The anti-shake works very well so i didn´t use a mono pod or similar. I hope you like it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDupd2uMhlQ
  2. Hi there at SAR, I'm a photographer from Austria, been shooting with Sony gear for the last couple of years and figured it's time to show some (ok...just three) of my more recent shots. Taken last weekend with my A99 & Tamron 24-70 2.8 in the beautiful Dolomites during the so-called "King of Dolomites" freeride photography contest. Hope you like it, I'll post some more of my work during the next few days.
  3. I'm a little over a year or so into owning an a9, the first one, not the a9ii (I thought I was slick saving $1500, and now I'm feeling kind of stupid). Tonight I shot some indoor basketball and was having some pretty significant banding issues, first time it had happened, and I was definitely not happy to say the least. I've scoured the internet, and there doesn't seem like there is any fix if you're shooting with the electronic shutter (which is, of course, why I bought the a9 in the first place). Anyone have any advice, or better yet, a solution?

  5. I'm using an a7sii, with 85 lens, and Ronin M. I'm shooting two people wrestling. I'm having all types of problems focusing because the wrestling is dynamic so there is a fair amount of movement. Ultimately, the focus drifts off and then finds itself after a few seconds, but this severely compromises the film. My settings F/2.8, shutter 100, continuous focus, wide, face recognition on If I was simply using the camera on its own, I would hold the shutter button until focus is reached and I could move around, but this is impossible with the Ronin because you are using both hands to hold the gimbal. I don't have $2,000 for some follow focus attachment so what suggestions would you have for such a project? Another point is that face recognition is great when your subject is facing you directly, but in my scenario, I'm often shooting the tops/backs/sides of the faces, so the focus won't immediately recognize that its a face to focus on. Should I switch to a wide lens like a 35? Any suggestions?
