Setting up a7r111a

Hi my name is Mal, a new member. Ihave just purchased the a7r111a and as I am still waiting on lens to arrive, can you tell me if I can set up various settings without a lens attatched. Thanks in anticipation Mal Collins

Most important setting of all:

MENU → (Camera Settings2) → [Audio signals] → Off

Oh and while you're at it, second most important setting:

MENU → (Camera Settings1) → [AF Illuminator] → Off

Unless you're shooting in absolute darkness, modern cameras should be able to focus in just about any real-life scenario. The AF-illuminator is pretty bright and distracting, so often results in puzzled/frowning expressions on peoples faces or startled wildlife. Only use case I found is with kids, where I occasionally use it on purpose to draw their attention.
