very nice work!  Thanks for sharing these.

I have tested this lens 30-40 times against countless other lenses.  Mostly Zeiss of all kinds.

Here's what I found....

There is a bit of a learning curve.

Wide open at 1.4 ,  in poor light, it can deliver overly soft images.  It often makes sense to work more at f1.8 or f2.

Even at 2.8 or higher with more light.

It starts to become OUTSTANDING.

The sharpness arrives. the out-of-focus areas can be VERY pretty.

The tiny form factor can be challenging if you are not a Leica/ZM veteran.

Color is very neutral compared to the warmth of the zeiss lenses.

I found I could not enjoy it without a close focus adapter.  I use several brands.

The close focus WAS too long.

Also, the 40mm focal length is a treat when you become very used to 35mm.  The slight amount of added bokeh due to the added length is a nice option.

After I masted all these things, the lens is a true surprise. Especially for the size. It can deliver gorgeous creamy images.

Enjoy! Michael
