Will A7r II have Live View when tethered to a desktop?

Recommended Posts

I know that it will with Mobile devices as the A7r does now.  But I am hoping that like the A7s and A7 II, the new A7r II will give you access to Live View when tethered to a desktop computer.  This would greatly facilitate its use in a studio environment.  Something that is a workflow problem with the A7r.

I'm curious about this as well. With Canon, you can have a real time live view display as well as control the focus point via touch screen on a tablet/laptop. I'm hoping for exact same functionality *not by wifi but by USB tether* to overcome the unusual limitation of not having a touch screen to begin with. =)

How does the A7S accomplish this?  Does it use PlayMemories or can you use Lightroom to run the camera?  Are all the normal functions available when you tether a A7S,(focus, aperature, shutter speed, ISO)?

I don't know because I've never actually tethered it yet. Best to ask Adobe support for a clear answer. There is also Capture One that's able to tether them.
