Is my screen broken?

I don't notice it when the screen is on, but I do see it when the screen is off. Is this normal or is there something wrong with it? I have literally only had it maybe 2 weeks and only used a handful of times in that period.

Looks like it could be the thin factory applied screen protector's still on. If so peel it off and apply a proper protector. If not go look at a screen that sells this camera. If neither the temporary protector nor the screen resembles a like camera, send for an exchange before it's too late. (Looks like the shipping protector to me.)

I removed the protector already, does anyone else see this when there screen is off?
