  1. Ever since I started using a new 64GB sd card (Kingston Digital 64GB SDXC Class 10 UHS-I Flash Card) on my sony a6000, some pictures appear "Unable to display" right after I take them. I take the picture, it shows on the "2 second preview" and then when I hit the play button, the camera says it is unable to display. Even if I copy those pictures to the pc, it cannot show them, as they are corrupt files. I already checked online and some people said to run the "Recover image DB", but that does not work, it says there are not any errors. Also, some people said it should be fixed if you format the SD card through the camera, but that does not work for me either, the problem happened again even after I formatted the SD card. So I have 2 questions: 1. Is there a way to recover those corrupted files? 2. How can I solve the corruption problem (besides changing the sd card)? OBS: When I take pictures using the playmemories mobile, the problem never happens and all pictures are saved.

  3. I just wasted an afternoon trying to get the sadly-misnamed "Sony Smart Remote Control" app (for Android) to work with my Sony A6000. When I finally got it working (I honestly can't say how), I was surprised to see that it could trip my shutter and control a couple of other basically useless features, such as whether to display a grid line and the mirror mode. I need to remotely change White Balance and trip the shutter -- that's all. Selecting items in the "Smart Remote Embedded" menu on the camera causes the Settings menu on the phone to "jump" as if it has received a change, but the menu does not change: they remain the same as before: Review Image (2 sec), Save Options (On), Location information (off), Saving Destination (xxx), Grid Line (off), Mirror Mode (off). If you have a solution, I'll be glad to hear it. But if not, is there an alternative solution, perhaps a hardware device that I can connect via cable? FY
  4. Is the Samyang 10mm F2.8 ED AS NCS CS compatible for the sony a6000? why hasn't anyone recommended this yet for those looking for a wide angle lens?
  5. My next stop in Bandung are Teras Cikapundung and Bandung City Hall. This is one of the latest park opened by the Mayor. Man, Bandung city mayor sure likes to build parks. No entrance fee, good for taking picture and hangout especially if you are somebody who loves river. Here you can perform, play rafting, fishing, feed the fish, recreation, and more because it has mini boat, art installation, edible garden, amphitheater, and shelters. I suggest you to go there when in the morning or afternoon after 4pm when it's not too hot as it barely have shade trees. Bandung City Hall is located in the center of Bandung city. The place is are clean and well maintained. There were flowers, statues, water fountain, and ponds. In the video you can see that there were children playing football in the park using just their slipper or even bare foot. Sometimes, there were bunches of teenager practicing dance in the park especially in sunday or holiday. My device: Sony A6000
  6. Hey all, I’m trying to setup my Sony a6000 for easy livestreaming mounted up on a wall. I have a dummy battery so the camera starts up with wall power. Is there anyway to disable the hdmi media viewer or “no sd card” from coming up? I want it to turn on and and send clean hdmi out without having to dismiss messages.
  7. I am trying to set up continuous autofocus without pressing the shutter, and can only get it to work on one of my 4 sony A6000's. For the life of me I cannot figure out what is different about the settings on that one camera that will enable the lens to refocus without pressing down the shutter when I move the camera around to different subjects. I have tried different lenses, and they all will continuously autofocus on just that one camera. All of the sony a6000's have been upgraded to version 3.2. Thanks for any ideas/help.

  10. Greetings, I've had my Sony A6000 for at least 5 years, but for the last year or so, I've been randomly facing this issue where my focus appears to be continuously partially pressed. What that does is I am not able to do anything (click on anything else) other than clicking the shutter button to take pictures. Here's a picture of what it looks like As you can see, my camera is just on, but it behaves as if I partially have the shutter button pressed. In the past, i've assumed that maybe my button is partially pressed, and I try to pull it awkwardly, sometime it works, sometimes it doesn't. This has become more of a problem recently and has made my camera almost unusable. Has anyone else faced this issue?
  11. Hi, I'm new to this DSLR camera, I want to use it as webcam in addition to normal photography but I hit a snag... I have this annoying blue rectangle in my HDMI output and I can't get rid of it in any way (I have tried multiple modes, turning of any sort of facial detection and automatic thingimagic but it didn't help) I have latest firmware (3.21) and I use movie mode because of HDMI output compression in other modes. Thanks
  12. Hi, what app is best for basically just transfering photos to smartphone? I have imaging edge mobile but app have problem with connection and playmemories is shit! Can't to register! Thanks for some advice ?
  13. Sony a6000 used as a webcam with CamLink and dummy battery. Every time I start the camera I get a "No Memory Card. Cannot Play" error. The only way to bypass is to half-press the shutter button. Issue is the camera is in an inconvenient place to do this every time. I've tried to stick several SD cards in and just leave it, but that doesn't work. Error remains, and half-press solution is the only thing that works. Seems the camera is not starting in capture mode, but in playback mode. Can I change settings to start in capture mode? (I leave it in Movie mode) I don't have a Release w/o Card option in the settings. Is there something similar? Any other workaround so I can simply turn on the camera and go? Thanks in advance.
  14. Hello, has anyone had similar cases? My camera constantly rotates the photo by 90 degrees under any settings and modes. I've tried updating software, changing batteries and memory cards, resetting settings. Nothing helped. The image shows the EXIF of the attached frame . The camera was positioned horizontally. With proper operation, the frame would also be horizontal.
  15. Going skiing and bringing my a6000. Any tips or tricks to get exposure correct and now blown out from brightness and reflections. Do I need a filter, if so what kind. Thanks
  16. Hey folks, I am looking for some lens options for my honeymoon in October... the kit lens is pretty good for everyday shooting. But I am going to Dubai and Japan, and I am sure I will need a zoom lens for capturing interesting things from far away. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SEL18200LE-Mount-18-200mm-Telephoto/dp/B0084YK0P4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490172513&sr=8-1&keywords=a6000+lens+200mm Would this be the best all rounder for the money? It is pretty expensive, if anyone has one or has an opinion, I would love to hear from you.
  17. I have the opportunity to get permission to record a concert in a small club with a couple of cameras for a mix. Two of the cameras will be the A6000 and A7RII. I am planning to record in the best possible resolutions for each of the cams and then scale down or up in the post processing. Total running time will be between 2.5 - 3h recording. I know the A6000 has some massive overheating issues for longer continuous recording, so I will probably use that for shorter hand shot sequences. Are there the same issues on the A7RII or can I just mount it on a tripod and let it run? If there are restrictions, are there any tweaks to avoid overheating and to allow continues recording? Is it possible to trigger video recording remotely? Can I use external battery packs while shooting video? Any help and tips or recommendation to external forums are much appreciated!
  18. Hello..I recently purchased a Sony a6000 and mainly shoot indoor portraits with strobes. Whats the best focus setting to get the most out of this camera? I use a D800 currently and right now I have my Sony setup the same way...single point focus, I focus on the eye and then recompose...but I notice photographers like Jason Lanier who shoot so casual from the back screen....
