This September I traveled the UK for 3 Weeks and I had a great trip, the weather was awesome for UK standards and I spent a lot of time taking pictures of this beautiful country, I wished we had such nature here in Germany.

Most of the nights we stayed in hostels but we also spent 4 nights in our tent, more of that later.

My gear for the trip:

  •

  • Sony a7

  • Sony Nex 5n as a backup and small camera

  • Canon FD 2.8/20

  • Minolta MD 2.8/35

  • Minolta MD 2/50

  • Tokina 2.5/90

  • Canon FD L 4/300

  • a small Sirui Tripod

  • a Lowepro Backpack

In spring I carried my Minolta 1.2/58 and Canon TS 2.8/35 to Portugal and I found the weight annoying so I replaced them with lighter lenses which I did not regret as we did lots of hiking.

My FD L 4/80-200 stayed home as well but I took the 300 with me which was a good decision because I only took the 300 with me when I really needed it so all in all my bag was quite a bit lighter.

if you have any questions about locations, gear or whatever just ask  :)

Day 1 and 2: Edinburgh

We spent the first two days in Edinburgh which is a great city but at the end I was really looking forward to less busy places.

Day 3: Driving to Skye and Arrival

Most of the day was spent getting the car and driving to the Isle of Skye, but we when we arrived there was a nice sunset and the harbor of Kyleakin at the blue hour was nice as well

Day 4 - Fairy Pools Walks

This Walk is rather popular, it was the most crowded one we did. Probably because of the beatiful scenery and rather easy walking.

Ever photographer who visits the Isle of Sky will try to take an image here. Mine were okay but when I return I will try to camp on the mountain for moee exiting light.

#15 should I manage to return to Skye some time I will try to camp near the  old man of Storr, such a great scenery and my image isn't very exiting

In the evening of day we still had some time so we decided to do a short and easy walk with great views. Luckily the location was also a great camping spot.
