cokeaddict
Hey guys, 1st post here. My a7s has worked perfctly since day 1 when it 1st came out. Yesterday I was away camping and set up the camera as I normally have done but for some strange reason I could not get the "bulb"mode (in Manual mode of course) to pop up while turning the dial. It just stopped at 30 seconds. I tried changing lenses, even using native sony lenses and same results. Never happened before. I was hoping someone can help me out finding the cause as i believe i may have changed a setting without realising it. I use the Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 for astro work. ( i only use the a7s for astro work so it does not get much use) Tried the sony 70-200, 18-105 and the 16-35... all would not allow bulb to show with the dial turning, they all stopped at 30 seconds. Hope this is not a fault with the camera as i love this thing to death. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Bokehbobo
Glad to hear. It does however beg the question of what was the problem and how was it corrected? ?
cokeaddict
YEP.... Aparently if you are in "silent" mode you loose the ability to use BULB. So disabled Silent mode and Bulb came back again. And i was thinking that a Sony camera broke down...go figure lol Edited November 6, 2018 by cokeaddict
Bokehbobo
Thanks for the follow-up. I use the silent mode from time to time and hadn't considered such a limitation. Much appreciated .
