Sony_Ben
Hello everyone, I’ve been enjoying using Auto ISO on the Sony A7 IV in video mode, especially for situations where lighting changes are unpredictable. My current workflow is to set exposure using Auto ISO, lock it with AEL, and start recording. However, if the lighting changes while I'm recording, I’d like Auto ISO to take over again. The challenge is that these adjustments can be too abrupt and distracting when they happen mid-shot. I noticed there’s a "Shockless WB" feature for white balance that allows for a smooth, gradual transition. This is really helpful for creating a professional-looking result. I would love to see a similar “Shockless” option for Auto ISO so it can adjust exposure smoothly without sudden jumps. This would be especially helpful for content creators, filmmakers, or anyone dealing with variable lighting environments. Has anyone else encountered this need, or does anyone know of any workarounds? And, Sony team, could we potentially see a "Shockless Auto ISO" feature in future firmware updates? Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!

Cameratose
This is a forum populated by Sony users, not Sony the company. I doubt they even stop by here. If you want to suggest an upgrade or change, you should contact Sony's Customer Service.
