I’m a newbie owner and can find the settings on YouTube for adapting lenses like Canon EF and FD TO MY a6000.My question is when I revert back to a Sony E lens, do the settings default back or do I have to do a reverse order setting. Thanks.

Not sure what settings you are talking about...those in camera will be set by the camera, not the lens.  Lens will determine focus and aperture.  But easiest thing to do is to do it and see what changes and what stays the same.  That way you will learn.

You only have to enable release w/o lens. You don't have to change it back.
