steve of stonehenge
I got an email a few weeks ago with an offer for the Focus Projects 3 Professional. I tried it today in my living room. I recommend this app/software. I only paid $35 (US) for this app. It uses all photo formats including DNG, JPG, TIFF etc. Here is a sample of blending 7 images. Notice the wood grain of the chair in the photo as well as the detail of Santa's beard in the seat of the chair. Pretty amazing. Can't wait to try this in a landscape and especially a macro of flowers. A7 Mk II body, Zeiss 25/f2 Batis lens, 1/4 second ISO 100 at f2. Tripod used. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Hi steve of stonehenge, Take a look here Focus Stacking app "Focus Projects 3 Professional". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JCC
Only a low res image is attached, can't see anything at this file size. I'd be curious how it does with astronomy shots. JCC
KMG
What JJC said about low res. You paid $35 USD? Did you not see this site? http://sharewareonsale.com/s/focus-projects-professional-giveaway-coupon-sale The link to the trial download on their site is broken? https://www.projects-software.com/focus-projects-3-professional Did a search on the product and it seems Franzis is offering 50-100% discounts on their products depending on where you click. This "company" seems to be all over the map with their pricing and marketing strategy. At least for me, it doesn't instill confidence in their software. Thanks for posting but I'm going to take a pass. KMG
Swiss Forester
And what is the advantage of this software over the stacking function in Photoshop? MadRaven
molan
And what is the advantage of this software over the stacking function in Photoshop? My thoughts exactly, I use Photoshop elements (the small home edition), and even elements have photo stacking, so what'ts the point, is it better, does it have others features or just a stand alone possibility? Austrokiwi
I used to use Helicon Focus but following problems moved to Zerene stacker.
rck
OK, dumb question time. Photo stacking, is this the same as HDR? I like the picture but not sure what the software does. Like I said dumb question, but the wife says I can ask them sometimes. Rick
