July 15, 20232 yr hello everyone I joined your forum because I have a Sony A7 IV but I can't do long exposures. I'm stuck at 50.0 and I can't go any lower. How can I shoot at 10, 20 or 30 seconds? Thank you for your help

July 15, 20232 yr You need to be in the right modus, in "S" you can go up 30 seconds, in "M" (manual) 30 seconds are possible and also bulb (endless).
July 16, 20232 yr Author thank you Snofru, but we give me the solution. It was in the settings, the variable shutter has to be OFF and now it's ok I can shoot in 30" or in blurb.
July 16, 20232 yr harakis, Welcome to the FORUM. These cameras can get a bit tricky to figure out sometimes. It's best to read the owner's manual a few times. I understand that some newer SONY cameras do not come with a manual. You can usually find one on the SONY website. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/e-mount-body-ilce-7-series/ilce-7m4/manuals For exposures longer than 30 seconds, it's best to get a cable or remote shutter release.
