Sony will announce six more new FE lenses within 2016

My experience with the Canon equivalent extender was good, and Tony Northrup also concluded you are better off (picture quality wise) with the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 plus extender than the 70-400.

 

Could be different with the Sony, but we'll have to see the reviews...

 

Well it's because Canon's 70-200 f2.8 is particularly good and have little to no focus breathing.

The new 70-300, with its slow apertures, looks like a "consumer grade" lens for a "professional grade" camera - odd!  I would like a fast 135mm prime and a tilt-shift lens, 35mm or wider.

 

Professional grade? No.

The A7's have the reliability of a battery powered toy. Don't know when something is going to freeze up...

I don't use it for any gigs since it doesn't have dual card slot backup.

 

Nice to see the arrival of the staple nifty fifty. 70-300 a nice add for people that bought the kit lens bundle.
