bobmax48
I have read that the camera records video in 4K 4.2.0 for internal recording but I have not found any info about what the signal is coming out of the HDMI. Is it possible to record 4.2.2 from the HDMI port?
Advertisement Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Hi bobmax48, Take a look here A6300 4K recording in 4.2.0 internally. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
chrisqphoto
no it's 4:2:0 out of the hdmi port, only their highest end camcorders offer 4:2:
bobmax48
I shoot lots of green screen footage so I guess the A6300 is not the way to go for me. 4.2.0 is too hard to key properly.
mattzisk
HDMI out provides clean 4.2.2, not 4.2.0. See http://www.sony.com/electronics/interchangeable-lens-cameras/ilce-6300-body-kit/specifications. It also will output sLog2 and sLog3 (with a wide variety of gamut). -- whatever you set for the shot. Sony went all out to make this near pro-quality.
