mxmtsk
Hello, I've bought an A7Sii some time ago, switching from a canon and I'm pretty impressed so far. I have now tried to record externally. The recorder does support 4k and HD. My issue though is, that as soon as i plug in the HDMI cable the camera outputs 4k via HDMI and I have no idea how to switch it to HD, if I only want to record HD. Can anyone help me fix this issue? Thanks, mxmtsk

RRRoger
Also set the camera to record HD internally. Which recorder are you trying to use? I have a Ninja II, Shuttle II, and 7Q+ You need the correct HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 cable and to set up the recorder. For extended recordings, you will also need a dummy battery connected to a power source. I tried charging with the USB port while shooting and my A7sII overheated in 4 minutes. It runs much cooler with an external recorder and a dummy battery.
