How to turn Flash off in Manual Mode

Hi! New to Sony, trying to figure out how to turn off my Godox TT685II flash when it is on camera in manual mode using Sony A7SIII. Note The Flash and Camera need to operate in manual modes.

When I try to turn it off  I get the error: “this operation or setting not available as follows. Shoot mode manual exposure.” 

I shoot real estate photography so I am taking about 35 photos per shoot with three exposures per photo, so just simply turning the flash off using the on/off switch would probably break it eventually.
 

I set my c3 button to my flash control for ease of access but, it won’t let me operate it when in manual mode. 
Any guidance on how to override this would be very appreciated!

Not sure that switch would be a problem, I'd just turn it on and off as needed. Godox are pretty robust.

Thanks @Cameratose hoping there is a solution, surly users are not actually turning off their flash between every exposure. Didn’t have this trouble with cannon. I must have a setting wrong that’s inhibiting the off function…

Did you buy the camera used? If so, the old fallback is to do a complete reset in the toolbox menu. There may be a leftover setting or group of settings having an effect. Not a sure thing, but can be worth a try.
