Hi! New to Sony, trying to figure out how to turn off my Godox TT685II flash when it is on camera in manual mode using Sony A7SIII. Note The Flash and Camera need to operate in manual modes. When I try to turn it off I get the error: “this operation or setting not available as follows. Shoot mode manual exposure.” I shoot real estate photography so I am taking about 35 photos per shoot with three exposures per photo, so just simply turning the flash off using the on/off switch would probably break it eventually. I set my c3 button to my flash control for ease of access but, it won’t let me operate it when in manual mode. Any guidance on how to override this would be very appreciated!

After not using my a7siii for about a day, I picked it up to shoot something and it would not power on. There were no new changes to settings nor any attempts to update firmware. Battery was fully charged. Issue: Right away when putting in a fresh battery (OEM Sony battery), the access lamp will flash. then flash every 3 seconds. Camera doesn't respond when trying to switch on. Attempted efforts to resolve the issue: 1. I've tried removing and swapping different SD cards, Sony Batteries, and Sony Lenses. 2. I've also tried power cycling the camera by removing the battery for a min, turning it on, holding the shutter down for 30 sec, then powering off, and reinstalling the battery. 3. I've tried connecting the camera directly to my computer, nothing. 4. Plugging the camera into the wall to see if it'll charge the battery, no. Charge lamp doesn't even turn on. Can't find anyone else with these issues. Feels like the camera literally bricked itself somehow. Link to dropbox for a video to show the issue. https://www.dropbox.com/s/m1xohg52twmcz3k/IMG_0620.MOV?dl=0

Sony told about memory cards supported by the α7S III (ILCE-7SM3) camera. But what about the SF-G series? My Sony cards have no V30/V60/V90 speed tags. No one from the company answers my questions on Twitter. Apparently, another Sony story is repeating itself. The story of a company pushing customers to buy new, new, new...

Does anyone else have issues with a jittery image on their A7SIII EVF when in video mode, recording in 4K S-I 10bit. It only occurs with this codec and is totally smooth with no issues in all other codecs. Wondering if this is just my unit or a common problem?

Hi All! My name is Josh and I'm a previous Canon owner. I used Canon cameras quite a bit (Canon T2i, 5D Mark II, 6D, 80D, 6D II, 5D Mark IV, and EOS R). I'm a hybrid shooter and I thought the camera to rule them all would have been the EOS R5, so I preordered. I read reviews, I watched test videos, I even watched Peter McKinnon to convince myself that this was it. This was the answer to all of my camerawomen woes (mainly 4:2:2 10 Bit and 4K 120p). Then I thought about it, and thought about it, watched some more Peter McKinnon and thought about it. I came to the conclusion that overheating, recording limits, and overall Canon's response to what people were asking was enough for me to leave. I decided to switch to Sony. But not just any Sony, I decided to preorder THE A7s III. I sold old, outdated, new but never used gear on Craigslist. Not to mention all of my beautiful glass. Now I'm here... Waiting... By the door. Is it September 24th yet?

I just ordered an FX3 and can't decide on wether to go for a 320GB or 640GB CFexpress Type A card? I'm will be shooting in XAVC S-I 4K from 25fps up to 125fps (in S&Q). I use a good amount of slowmotion in my workflow. I'm not really sure if 320GB is enough for a day of shooting? A day of shooting for me is somewhere between 1-2 hours of footage, and on rare occasions up to 3 hrs.. Every day after a shoot i backup the footage and format the card for the next day. So i only need the card to last for a day (1-2hrs footage). I was also thinking about getting a V90 card and a smaller 160GB CFexpress. Then i can shoot 25fps on the V90 (i think the V90 card can handle XAVC S-I 4K) and 125fps on the CFexpress. But then i'll have to manually switch between the cards every time i switch frame rates, if the camera doesn't do it automatically? I guess it's possible to setup the different framerates and cards in shooting mode - so it won't be such a big problem. Does anyone shoot with either of these cameras and have experience in using the XAVC S-I 4K format with different frame rates that can maybe guide me to what the best option is for me? I found a guide which states that in this mode in 50/60fps you will get approx. 25min on a 160GB card. So 25fps would be around 50min. And with a 320GB card that would be around 1hr and 40min. If this is true the 320GB won't be enough right? So 640GB is the safer option? But $1400 is crazy! 🤯 Thank you!

Hello, I am able to reach Playmemories online and when I sign into my account I can see the paid apps I was using on my A7S2, however there is no way for me to connect my camera and download the apps onto my newer A7S3. I am using Catalina on an iMac and my A7S3 does not get verified. I am able to connect my camera with my iPhone and use the Imaging Edge software but I especially need my paid apps such as the Digital Filter Upgrade HDR. Other apps such as Star Trails and Time-lapse are also not downloading. Does the A7S3 support apps?

Hi, I rented an A7siii today and I want to download my footage to my mac. When I connect to the computer, the camera begins to charge but it doesn't mount the card. In the USB menu the usb connection is ghosted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
