A6400 Pricing

Recommended Posts

I’m on the fence of buying an a6400 with <1300 shutter count (details below)

-Sony Alpha A6400 body

-Sony 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 lens

-Sony 50mm 1.8 lens

-battery

Please let me know if this is a good deal for $1300 flat no taxes. Or if I should be getting any other lenses/filters.

Thank you all for your time and assistance. Have a nice day!

Assuming you are in US, B&H online advertises a Sony A6400 and the 18-135mm lens kit for $1,299.00 but they don't have it in stock and I'd imagine they won't be able to get anymore since A6400 has been discontinued or paused from production.  You are looking at a barely used kit plus a 50mm/1.8 lens for $1,300.00.  Looks like a decent deal to me.

I live in the UK (sorry, I don't know the exchange ratesI £834 buys an "excellant" quality A6400 body, battery, charger - no lens

Whereas an A6500 of the same quality costs £724

The 18-135mm lens (excellant) is £384 and the 50mm 1.8 (good) £154

So, I would say that, on the face of it, this would be a good deal.

The reason I mentioned the A6500 is that it has steady shot, so if you don't need the extra speed of auto focus and burst rate, you might prefer the benefits of steady shot and the lower price.

I would advise buying from a reputable used dealer who gives a 6 month warranty rather than an open market place, where there is a much higher chance of ending up with stolen goods.
