Does the A7iii only format to .mp4? Or can it switch over to .mov

Ive spent the last 3 our on forums and YouTube trying to change my recording format on the camera so I can easily use Premier to edit. But like I said I can’t figure out how to change the file format for the SD cards to stream lone the process.

Hello - I think what you are trying to do is change the format of the video you are recording rather than the format of the SD card?

You should have a look at the user manual for your camera and you can change what format you record the video in. If you go to the camera settings there should be a range of options including AVCHD. Otherwise go to your camera settings menu and then select the file format you require.
