I have bought a Sony Alpha NEX-F3 16.1MP Digital Camera to use only with a Skywatcher telescope.

I have bought an adapter to go between camera a scope BUT, when I press the shutter I get the error message:

Cannot recognise lens. Attach it properly.

Obviously the adapter doesn't have any contacts in it to connect to the pins in the camera lens fit and it needs something there for it to operate.

Is there an override for this in thee camera menu somewhere, I can't find one, or can the pins on the camera be "modified" to make it think a lens is connected?

Menu --> Settings --> Shooting settings --> Release w/o Lens --> On

Sometimes I wonder why people take the effort to ask a question while a simple Google-search on 'Sony Alpha NEX-F3 manual' will get you the result in less than a minute...

Thanks Pieter for the answer, and the sarcasm!! I've spent hours trawling the internet!

I guess it helps if you know specifically what you're looking for 😅
