Hi everyone,

so my A7s II  stop recording but at very random times. Sometimes over and over again and sometimes not at all. It’s got a sandisc 300mb card in there and a metabones with a canon lens. No idea what it is, definitely not over heating and I’m filming in a cool air conditioned room.

Any ideas?

Thanks

George

Need more info. 4K? How long before interruption? Card originally formatted in camera? Card ever checked for bad blocks, capacity, or R/W speeds? Shoot video test with native lens / no adapter pointed at a clock having a second hand.

(Sometimes it's simple things. Two days ago. Same camera, operating with a remote to trigger record & zoom. Remote stopped functioning. No longer records video or zoom. Unplug. Plug in. Unplug. Plug in. Shutter release button on remote functioned so I knew I had connectivity. The problem? Card had but 1GB remaining. Insert different card and all was good.)

Thanks for getting back to me!

So, details here:

- HD, not 4k.

- Card was formatted in camera.

- Card works completely fine.

- Camera hasn't done it so far with a native lens (could it be the metabones).

Interesting about the card, there was a lot of space still on mine, a good 15GB.
