Some sensor cleaning is done by an electronic action instead of mechanical action. My A1 is the same way. But the best way to answer your question is to check the sensor for dust and dirt.
Set the camera for the highest aperture you can, hopefully f/22. Take a photo of a plain white something, or clear blue sky, something light, bright, and monotone. Then view the image on a screen. Dust and dirt will be apparent. If it's there, perform a cleaning and check again. There is a point where in-camera can't handle certain things like smudges, so a good cleaning kit is required.
I recently purchased an A7R5. When I activate sensor cleaning, I can hear a very faint ticking, but I don't get the shaking that I experience on my A74. Is my sensor cleaning working?
Hi folks,
When using the movie mode, the HDMI output is 4k and very nice quality.
If i switch to "still" mode, the quality of the HDMI is terrible.
This is a problem if i want to use the camera as a tethered studio camera, or if i want to view very slow (less than a quarter of a second) shutter values on the HDMI output.
Does anyone have an idea why the still mode HDMI is so bad and if maybe i can fix it somewhere in the settings?
Thanks!
