canti
Hi. I own a a7sII and use it primarily for video. I shoot either XACV-S HD or 4K in 25, 50 and 100p. Now in situations with movement, mostly when the subject is blurry or out of focus, i have really nasty, blocky artifacts in my footage. It doesn't matter whether it's S-Log or Cine4 or Standart PP. Steadyshot on/off doesn't make a difference either and i have it with every lens. Anyone else experiencing that problem? Or is there something wrong with my camera? It is especially noticable in dark/high iso shots. But whats the point of having a rather clean ISO Performance when you cannot use the shot berause of this ugly artifacts? This is what it looks like, if someone might want to have a look: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c95e5kyy8geshh1/AAB6sHDl34VQZUTz3EosovrVa?dl=0 Cheers, canti. Welcome, dear visitor! feranowibisono
Hi, i have that problem too. do you have the answer?
cws
Probably because it shoots 4:2:0 subsampled video, assuming you are shooting to the SD card. (eg ) Have you tried recording to an external recorder through the HDMI out port? This apparently gives 4:2:2 output so should improve the quality of the image and reduce some of the blockiness.
