Unable to adjust shutter speed on A7S II?

I'm evaluating an A7S II and can not figure out how to adjust the shutter speed. I've read that it is supposed to be controlled with the dial on the back, though it does not work for me. One dial controls ISO and the other aperture. This is the same whether in shutter priority mode or manual. I also do not see a shutter speed option in the function menu.

 

1. What is the default way of changing shutter speeds?

2. How can I reset it so I am able to use the default shutter speed options?

If the settings have not been altered the shutter is the dial under the release button on front of camera.
