A7RIV - Shutter Release

I am actually not a "new" alpha forum" user as system indicates.  Another topic, another day.

I have my camera set up on the memory settings 1, 2 and 3 for Portrait, Action and Landscape.  However if I change mode to "A" or "S" or "M" the shutter does not release.  It releases just fine on memory 1, 2 and 3 though.  Any clues?

I don't know exactly how you have set things up, but on my camera (NOT yours) if I switch from MEMORY 1, 2 or 3 back to P, A, S, or M, the camera reverts back to what it was last set at when I was in that MODE.

Something tells me you are referring to a different set-up.

I did figure out the problem and it is somewhat embarrassing to admit.  I had the camera set on "silent" so when I believed it was not taking a picture, it certainly was.  No issue now.  Thanks for your response.
