What ever happened to the RX1rII?

I owned, used extrensively and loved the RX1r. It was my first serious camera but it was flawed by it's hit and miss autofocus. When it hit its mark it was fabulous but on the 25% of the time it back focused, it was frustrating as hell.

 

When the mark two version was announced I immediately put my name on the waiting list with both Wex Photographic and Park Cameras here in the UK, both of which are large online retailers.

 

That was back in September and I've yet to receive a call or see one available to buy anywhere in the UK. They are as much of an enigma as the Batis lenses.

 

I gave up waiting a while ago and went with an A7rII instead but I still wonder whether we will ever see them actual available to buy in the UK. Is it the same elsewhere in the world?

They seem to be available off and on in the US. B&H is out of stock, but a local (Seattle area) company, Kenmore Camera ( http://www.kenmorecamera.com/p-42161-sony-cybershot-rx1r-ii.aspx ) has them.

Fotokoch are very good. I use them whenever I can't find things closer at hand.
