Thank you for your excellent review and video, drasko2015. After studying your review and Jordan Steele's Admiring Light I took the plunge and ordered the Canon 70-200 F/4 lens and a Viltrox adaptor.  The adaptor is worth its price even if it didn't auto-focus very well, but I'm pretty impressed with that too.  A smart adaptor is so much better that the cheaper dumb ones.  The camera and Lightroom recognize the lens data, including automatically setting the focal length for IBIS, which works quite well.  This Canon L lens is awesome, and even 1x1 crops from my A7M2 look sharp and colorful at F4 and up. The look of this great glass is spoiling me, and now I want more lenses that can give me a similar look.  I have a feeling this is going to get expensive!

Your welcome and thx for support! Canon has some of the best glass ever and prices are in a really good range compared to sony. We can only hope that the new FE lenses that are announced will be priced lower, but i wouldn´t bet on that.

I'm new to the site and just saw this post.  I have that Canon 70-200 lens but haven't tried it on the Sony yet...I'm definitely going to have to try it out now!  I've only used it on my 7D.
