Muehle
Heyho, i dropped my A7rII before i really could test all the features. Yes i am, was and will be stupid. I noticed that i get a lot of moire in my video material. My problem is now that i can't say if it's broken or just not so great with fine textures. I shot a really short video with my mobile phone. Has anyone noticed something similar. The greenscreen in the video has tiny holes, so it's not quite perfect, but shows the problem. http://clientview.de/others/IMG_0475.MOV thanks, for any help. Advertisement Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Hi Muehle, Take a look here Big moire problems - A7rII. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ben
I guess since the A7RII has no optical low pass filter and video in full frame has no resampling but rather pixel binning this behaviour has to be expected. Filming in aps-c crop mode will probably lessen the moire effect but it can still show up. It really comes down to the missing optical low pass filter. Best regards, Ben

Mark2d
Are you sure this effect show up in the .MOV file on a computer, or are you just seeing this on the screen of your camera?
