Remove dial

Your post implies that you hope or believe that the knob

has simply been knocked a bit loose from its shaft. Hope

may be eternal, but the bad news is the likely scenario 

that the data clicker the knob spins has been knocked

loose from it's moorings [on a circuit board] but the knob

is still solidly on the shaft. 

  

I have not seen the interior, but am just trying to warn

that things are seldom as simple as they appear, so you

are possibly in need of a professional repair.
