I can't even imagine shooting so many frames that the camera gets that far behind. 15-20 is about my max. And all I ever see is the little count at the top of the EVF in the upper left. A1 and A7 IV. -

I thought the OP was referring to the display when writing the buffer to the card. I'm so used to seeing that when using the A1, A9 III and A1 II. No hint which camera the OP is using. -

I never see that, so I can only assume you mean when you're uploading to the computer. I remove the card from the camera and put it in a card reader, so my camera isn't tied up while uploading.
