Should I buy an A7SIII or wait for the A7SIV?

Hello all,

I really need to upgrade for film from my A7III and want to get an A7SIII.

I wanted to know if anyone knows that when the A7SIV comes out, will the price of the A7SIII drop? If so i would wait for the release of the A7SIV and buy a A7SIII for a lower price.

I dont know for sure but I dont think the price of the A7III dropped when the A7IV came out, but please let me know if anyone has an idea about this.

Noone knows when the A7Siv will be reseased, but based on experience it will hardly affect prices of the previous model. Have a look here at the price development of the A7iii in my country (Netherlands) when the A7iv was introduced on october 21 2021.

Had a similar problem but Sony in Poland had a7iv with 24-70mm f/2.8 gm2 for below €3300 with 5 years warranty. Gm2 is a bit of an overkill for my needs but could resist it.
