Non functional viewfinder

My trusty old A7r has a dead viewfinder.  The monitor screen works fiine but unfortunately the "FINDER/MONITOR" menu was switched to viewfinder and now I can't see any menu items to switch to monitor.  It's running the most recent firmware 3.20.  I tried to re-install the firmware in hopes that the default FINDER/MONITOR setting would be auto but the system says I already have 3.20 and won't let me proceed. 

Any help would be appreciated!

Maybe a member who has an A7R can record the steps it takes from turning on the camera to accessing the menu item that can switch from the viewfinder to the screen and share it with you.
