Pretty much.

it's a 30 second exposure. For the first 15 seconds we are in there holding the pose and to expose us up even more I fired a flash 3 times.
Then at the 15 second mark we all sprinted out the shot.
I'm down the front in the red. You can see my hand in my pocket firing the flash wirelessly....just ignore the socks and thongs (or flip-flops for you americans) :P

This spring I made a serie of portraits in the night, where I used this trick: If you can manage to flash the whole face (one flash from each side) the face looks almost normal (not like a ghost), but you have a perfect illuminated shot of a night scene in the back. You can use some colordiffusor on the flashes to get a good white balance (or do it in post with a mask) and fill the "holes" in photoshop afterwards.

cool shot! switzerland? but I don't know where...

Hey Seb,

I'd love to check out those photos if you have a link!

It's actually Australia. A small island called Philip Island, right under Melbourne...Famous for its Penguins

I'll have my own policy to not sharing pictures whith people on it. It's just the way I'll get my friends easily in front of my camera. :)

australia looks like switzerland at night!
