a6400 Loses manual focus point after power off

Hi.

I'm currently using the a6400 with a 30mm F1.4 DC DN Sigma lens as a webcam.

I currently have the camera set to manual focus (I won't explain why, but auto focus is not an option). Whenever I power off the camera, the focus resets and I have to refocus my shot every time; really annoying.

Why is this happening?

Is there a setting in the camera that can fix this? Or is it the lens I'm using? My current lens has a continuous focus ring, do I need a lens with a limited focus ring?

Welcome to our forum. Since the focus is adjusted electronicallly it will reset when the camara is powered off. This is normal. You would need a manual lens, but you will have no autofocus in many if not all cases.
