Focus Motors

Does anyone have experience with Tamron 35 1.8. I've read some reviews that love it while others complain about inconsistent focusing. Any thoughts about this or other 35, 85, or medium zooms lenses.

Recently saw an ad for new Tamron lenses. The 35, 35-150 and the 17-28. The only one that I'm interested in for my A7iii is the Sony E mount 17-28, but they each have different focusing motors listed in the specs.

I'm showing the others to ask if anyone knows the difference and how it relates to each other (quality, performance, etc) and to native Sony lenses.

35 f1.4  - Ring-type ultrasonic.

35-150 f2.8-4 - Micromotor

17-28 f2.8 - Stepper motor.
