When shooting 4k on my a7r2 I always use the crop mode .

Am I right in thinking that the Sony E-Mount PZ 18-200mm Lens (selp18200) which is for e mount crop bodies will therefore work with out any vignette effect?

It will, I assume ,be the equivalent focal length of 27-300mm full frame focal length?

Since the 70-300 lens is £1099 and  the 18-200 at £ 949 is much the same price  there is nothing saved but, the  power zoom video use will be nice.

Is that flawed thinking on my part or not?

BTW The FE version  FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS is £ 2479.00 somewhat out of my reach I think.

27mm on the wide end is a wideangle while the 70 - 300 starts with a tele focal range. Did you really mean the 70 - 300 in comparison to the 18-200(27-300)?

The powerzoom for video work is always way better then zoom manual. You never achieve such a steady zoom without the PZ.
For the vignette: i think if it's really a problem this should be easily correctable afterwards if/when using video editing software.
